Before production or installation, it needs to be cut at 45° or 60°, and then spliced in a "V" shape. Trimming is also required at the beginning and end of the flooring, and installation is much more cumbersome than herringbone flooring.

install method

Pay attention to the calculation of loss: the herringbone floor is spliced according to the "V", and the beginning and end must be trimmed, so the loss during paving is higher than the installation loss of conventional flooring. The installation loss according to the room type is generally About 8-14%. At the same time, during the production process of bone-bonded flooring, the wooden floor needs to be cut, resulting in a lot of loss, so the price of herringbone flooring is relatively high.

High requirements on the flatness of the ground: Among all wooden floor laying methods, the herringbone splicing method has the highest requirements on the flatness of the ground. Different from other laying methods, fishbone splicing must be aligned with 4 seams, that is, the four corners of each board must be completely aligned, so as to ensure that the sharp points of the "V" of the two fishbone can be aligned. If the ground leveling is not done well and the gaps are not aligned, the corners of the wooden floor will be warped or even the gaps will become larger, which will affect the service life。

Long customization cycle: Fishbone flooring is produced in batches, and different batches of floors will have slight differences in color, gloss and even surface wood grain. Herringbone flooring is labor-intensive and materials-intensive, especially the seams and seams need to be cut.
